Crescent Senior Living – Member Spotlight

Crescent Senior Living is Sandy’s newest senior living facility – offering assisted living and memory care. Not only is the facility comparable to a high-end resort with all of its amenities, but it also offers a safe and secure home environment.

What happens at a senior living center? You might not know what to expect. Such was the case for Warren Walker when he began operating Crescent Senior Living in Sandy, UT. Warren Walker has been in the healthcare industry for nearly 40 years. Originally interested in Physical Therapy – Walker has now made the transition into administration.

“You get to know people and see the smiles on their faces…” is what he had to say of this experience. “Every day is something different.” Walker says he works long hours throughout the week, but loves the experience as well as the people he serves and works with.

Crescent Senior Living recently opened its “beautifully designed Assisted Living and Memory Care community,” and the facility has hit the ground running. They have open spots to fill and activities to facilitate. Walker tells me, it’s a “cruise ship on land,…we offer all the different services onboard if you will.” There are many activities for residents to participate in –  they offer everything from outdoor recreation to indoor relaxation. Whether it’s relaxing in the spa, or enjoying a movie in the theater room, to spending time at the wellness gym, or enjoying time with your family at the family fun center, members of the staff are always willing to make it a fun experience for their residents.

Even though everything is available in one place, Crescent is surrounded by high end restaurants, shopping centers, musical theatres, grocery stores, and anything that would contribute to the already perfect experience. Walker says, “We make it so you don’t have to do that, but sometimes you just have to get out…some people may attend a Broadway show or grab a hamburger from McDonalds. We leave it up to the resident to decide.”

The staff is what really helps Crescent Senior Living run. Warren finishes by stating, “There are good quality people that work in healthcare. I appreciate the opportunity to be able to associate with them.”
