Each year the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes the exceptional efforts of community leaders at the annual Peak Awards, presented this year by Mountain America Credit Union. Three of the eight categories are on a voting basis. Allow us to introduce you to our next voting category – Small Business of the Year. Read about each and vote below.


Profile by Sanford was built by physicians at Sanford Health and helps individuals change their lifestyles through coaching, meal plans, and technology. The company doesn’t just want to help you lose weight, they educate you on how to fuel your body, help you figure out what type of activities you enjoy, and then how to combine both of those elements to make it part of your lifestyle. There are currently three franchise locations throughout Utah, (owned by Utah locals) with plans in place to open more throughout the state.


The City Journals began publishing the South Valley Journal in 1991. 25 years later, there are thirteen community newspapers serving fifteen cities in Salt Lake county. They are each of the community’s only newspaper and each of the community’s largest direct mail publication.


Good Grammar Bar is a downtown establishment located in the heart of downtown. They offer artisan food, custom cocktails, local brews, and entertainment on the weekends. With a heavy focus on customer interaction and unique menus – Good Grammar offers an exceptional experience whether you’re a lunch goer or dancing enthusiast.
